The Society for Surgical Simulation (SSS) has established itself as a trailblazer in simulation-based surgical education, curating events that consistently push the field forward. 

The inaugural 2020 summit brought trainees, researchers, industry partners, surgeons and educators together in a dynamic collaboration forum. SES2022 grew into a two-day deep dive—featuring a Digital Surgery Masterclass, hands-on workshops and the adrenaline-charged Sim Olympics. Recently, in January 2025, the Society of Surgical Simulation and Innovation Conference (SSSICON), co-hosted with Barts and the London Surgical Society, showcased cutting-edge, tech-driven techniques from robotic surgery to LapBox simulation.
